Description
Riveting real-life television, Intervention explores the lives of people dependent on drugs, alcohol, or other destructive behaviors and the people who intervene to save them. This episode examines the influence of early trauma on addictions. Heidi seems to have it all: a fulfilling social life, good health, and an attractive appearance. However, she is obsessed with plastic surgery and shops compulsively. She believes that her rape at age 16 influenced her choices in life. We also meet Michelle. The death of her father and her sexual molestation by a family member pushed her to dangerous activities, including methamphetamine use and trading sex for drugs.
