When French engineer Ferdinand de Lesseps returned triumphantly to Paris after completing the Suez Canal in 1869, he was hailed as a national hero. Thousands raced to invest in his next, even bolder scheme: to build a great canal across Panama. Cari's aboard the Galapagos Explorer en route to Santa Cruz Island. It's home to the Charles Darwin Research Station, where giant sea tortoises are being bred in captivity. There are giant tortoises in the wild too, and Cari wants to see them too. At the end of a long day, she snorkels among Galapagos' friendly creatures.

Paula digs deep into Egyptian culture at the world's oldest market. Then, she gets behind the wheel and learns the ancient art of pottery. She also figures out how the Egyptians turned papyrus into paper, and finds a friend to show her the art of hieroglyphics.

Cari heads to the ancient city of Jerash, one of the largest and most well preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world. She dances alongside bagpipers in Jerash's famous amphitheatre and is then off to Wadi Mujib, the lowest nature reserve in the world. She spends the day wandering through a water-filled gorge. WOW!

In Australia, Cari hops aboard a yacht for a sail in Sydney Harbor, sings at the Sydney Opera House, and takes the climb of her life atop the Sydney Bridge.

Cari heads to Agra, India for a visit to the famous Taj Mahal, where she, too, falls in love with its majesty.

In Peru, Cari heads into the jungle, where she tastes termites, climbs the rainforest canopy and befriends some colorful birds.

In Arizona, Cari dons an apron to make Native American fry bread before learning traditional hoop dancing from a young champion.

Cari makes her way to the Pululahua Crater and discovers this place used to be in the middle of the world, until the earth moved. She also discovers there's a town inside the crater. She and local children play a game of hide and seek amid the cornfields. Then, Cari's off to the "new" middle of the world to carry out some equatorial experiments.

Cari snorkels in the beautiful Red Sea and then gets an even better look under the sea on an underwater dive. In the desert, she meets a Jordanian brother and sister, and the three have fun playing in the sand dunes. Cari learns about zaerb, a traditional food cooked under the sand, and is thrilled to discover she'll be camping in the desert overnight.
