Description
This documentary tells the story of Eufrosina Cruz Mendoza's election to municipal office. An indigenous woman from the Zapotec community in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, she was originally barred from running for mayor of her community. The film also documents the history of the suffragette movement in Mexico and considers the challenges that women in power face.
