Description
Due to the postwar "baby boom" in the 1960s there were more teenagers in America than ever before. Popular culture became increasingly youth-oriented, with fads and fashions departing from those of the 1950s. Young women rebelled against the conservative values of their parents by wearing revealing fashions such as miniskirts and hot pants, and young men rebelled against convention by growing their hair long.
