Description
The last remaining mountain gorillas on earth live only in two habitats in eastern Africa: the slopes of the Virunga volcanoes between Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and in the Bwindi forest in Uganda. Surrounded by one of the highest population densities in Africa, the animals cannot expand their habitat. What happens when the number of gorillas grows, but their habitat does not? The answer from scientists is that encounters between groups happen more frequently, resulting in aggressive fighting and measurably higher levels of stress. This film explores urgent questions about species protection and the coexistence of humans and animals.
